Our astronaut +Alexander Gerst will fly to the +International Space Station on the Russian Soyuz MS-09 spacecraft in June 2018.
It will be the second mission to space for the German #astronaut. During his stay he will take over duties as commander of the Space Station.
Alexander will spend some six months aboard for his #Horizons mission, named for its goal of broadening our knowledge of Earth, low-Earth orbit and beyond.

ESA, the European Space Agency has great success:
Last week the US Dragon capsule arrived at the +International Space Station #ISS with equipment to be used in research, such as the Myotones, MetabolicSpace, SPACETEX-2 and ASIM #experiments, as well as #DLR’s time capsule. Some of the experiments will be carried out by the +European Space Agency, ESA astronaut +Alexander Gerst himself during his #horizons mission. Gerst is due to lift off from Baikonur Cosmodrome on 6 June 2018, on board a Soyuz spacecraft bound for the ISS, where he will live and work for 187 days, until 10 December.

Ich kann nicht sagen warum das Spiel solange an mir vorbei gegangen ist. Gerade weil ich ein großer Science-Fiction und Weltraum-Fan bin. Auch das erste Elite habe ich auf meinem Amiga geliebt! Es beginnt im Trainingssimulator und markiert damit den Anfang unserer Reise.
