I'm not discounting neither the need for self-defense, nor the impact and relevance of trauma, but I simply cannot accept the argument that what is happening on the Gaza fence is such an existential threat that the only way to deal with it is mass killing.

So cutting the fence and shouting hateful chants justify ending a human life or disabling someone? I'm not even talking about the many documented cases of people killed and injured who didn't even do these things. This is so very sad.

There are options between "innocent" & "terrorist". If our benchmark for killing a Gazan is that he hates Israel, wishes us Israelis dead, & has revenge fantasies about the Nakba, rather than an actual, concrete, military threat, doesn't that make us the same as Hamas?

But they didn't kill or injure anyone, barring one soldier lightly injured by a stone. Concrete militant armed attacks were repelled decisively by the army and noone criticised that. Hatred, menace and desire to kill Jews and Israelis are still not punishable by death.

So you're basically content with a shoot to kill policy at unarmed people, regardless of what they actually DID, provided it's justified with a fictional scenario, which DID NOT happen? And with no need to provide any evidence regarding what any individual was doing?
