Today at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library ⁦⁩ I joined in commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Moon landing. A letter from NASA exactly 52 years ago energized an immigrant’s journey into space

President Kennedy’s Moonshot Speech gave our nation the courage to send a man to the moon. His words showed Americans, and future generations, that by coming together we are able to achieve the impossible. 🚀 💫

: Planning for the Apollo program was underway in the early 1960s! The project was conceived during the Eisenhower admin, and JFK set the goal of “landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to Earth” by the end of the decade in 1961.
