Good analysis. I calculated means on 30 likert style questions last year. Since all questions appeared on the scale, it seemed to make sense to enable comparison.

I think it's interesting. He was receiving praise for what he now believes to be ineffective lessons.

Had to reread it. My logical fallacies might be rusty but not sure I see a strawman here. The author had the mistaken belief that engagement was the goal, now he doesn't. It's a personal piece of self discovery no?

It's pretty hectic. IF Formulas in excel to mark questions, vlookups to put videos in, mail merge from word and a little vb script to add attachments. Not user friendly!

Link broke. :( Also, I'm surprised 17% flip, seems high... Although I guess a survey like this is self selecting.

Have you checked "Travelers" yet? The morality in that time traveling mess is mind bending.

Went through this pain today with the added complication of mail merge, individual video hyperlinks and an attachment. Nightmare fuel.

The fact that this guest blogger felt the need to remain anonymous speaks volumes about how toxic the discourse can be around this seemingly uncontroversial opinion.

Not without some serious work! I'm happy now that I've got the process locked down. Next time it'll be a much easier job!

Step 1. 100 year 9 students do diagnostic test using Microsoft forms. Step 2. Upload video solutions to YouTube. Step 3. Every student & parent get email of a personalised list of vids to watch. Step 4. Students do personalised practise questions. Today was a good day

Fantastic. There's so much I want to do with it too! A slider to change the gradient, animate the box moving up. Geogebra is so fun.

A6. New HOD here. I learned you need to prioritise what you believe is important. Some jobs (admin) can be done faster than you think

Sorry I should have said "as a teacher". I ask my colleagues how to teach all the time.

A5. As a new teacher accept that you are Jon Snow. Ask your colleagues "I'm about to teach X next week, how would you do it?" Teachers love to teach.

I don't know why, but I feel like if you have a 🍺 in hand, it might not count. Done some great pd that way though.

A3. Do not let your school be your sole source of PD. Seek out PD you're interested in. (Note: the best learning you do might be hard to "count" as PD hours)
