Build with iOS 11 SDK
Update your version of Xcode to the latest release of Xcode 9 available on the Mac App Store, which includes the iOS 11 SDK, and build your apps. Starting April 2018, all new iOS apps submitted to the App Store must be built with the iOS 11 SDK. All new apps for iPhone, including universal apps, must support the Super Retina display of iPhone X.
Optimize for the latest iOS 11 features. Now you can build more intelligent apps with the power of machine learning with Core ML and create incredible augmented reality experiences with ARKit. With iPad, your apps can provide a unified and immersive user experience with new multitasking features. If your app integrates these technologies, make sure to use best practices and test.
For more information, see What’s New in iOS 11.
Update device compatibility. The App Store is designed to provide customers with apps that work seamlessly with their device’s capabilities. Remember to update your information property list (info.plist) with new device requirements when submitting an app update that takes advantage of the latest technologies.
For more information, see iOS Device Compatibility Reference.
Add your App Store icon. With Xcode 9, your App Store icon which is used to represent your app in different areas of the App Store, should be included as part of your project bundle, not iTunes Connect.
