Starting this Wednesday evening we will have Gangsta Vegan serving a Vegan Japanese Soba dish ($8) and Free Wine and Green Tea from 5-7.
Kitchen Witch is a small, but purrfect, book shop in the heart of New Orleans' oldest goods portage and trading centers. We specialize in rare, hard to find, out of print and pre-owned books on food and cooking. This is a fully functional independent book store and not just a website location. (And this website will be improving with time.)
We are located at the junctures of Bayou Road, Esplanade Ave and MacHardy's Fried Chicken, just down from Tastee Donuts and not quite to Pirogues Bar and Cafe. Also look for the Community Bookstore, the Coco Hut Restaurant, Pagoda Cafe, Junk Masters, Domino Sound and Broadview Crawfish House all in spitting distance. The neighborhood also has Seasoned an 'experienced cookware' shop,The Broad Theater, Dashing Bicycle Shop, Whole Foods, and The Crescent City Steak House.
We open for business seven days a week, (closed only for vacation,Thanksgiving, Christmas Day or Jazz Festival Sundays) from 11:00 to 5:30 sometimes later. Also Every Friday we are now open til 7 and host a VEGAN FOOD POP-UP (cash preferred) AND a COMPLIMENTARY HAPPY HOUR 5-7 PM. Call us or check our Facebook for weekly menus and any additional pop-ups.
Fortunately for us, we love what we're doing and rarely are late or take time off (veteranarian appts excepted). You will always find Debbie and/or Philipe at the shop ready to answer questions, share secrets, relay gossip, political opinions and give you directions to the hottest spots to eat.
We are ALWAYS open earlier or later for you by appointment. We also ship--kinda cheap!
