NO! LOL. I promise I didn't say anything specific ;) b/c REALLY--who's the crowd favorite by the time you get to book 13? Could be several different characters!

I couldn't agree with you more. While I hated how this series ended, I loved it until the last couple of books. I have read all of them, some more than once, and the audio books are great as well.

Yeah, I haven't talked to a single person who was happy with the ending. I didn't do a reread last year when 13 came out and maybe if I had, it wouldn't have come as such a shock, but I kind of doubt it. Now that I KNOW, I'm looking at the interactions with this read-thru, and I can kind of see that hints were there, but still, it's a reach . . . BUT doesn't change how much I love the rest of them ;)

You guys are giving me issues, LOL. It seems I incorrectly ASSumed that with nearly an entire year having passed AND all the hullabaloo when 13 did come out, that everyone knew that already. BUT, I still maintain that by the time 13 rolls around the crowd favorite is debatable. It could go a couple of different ways . . .
I wanted Eric. If it isn't Eric I don't care. I admit I read a few reviews on the last book but they were full of rage so I stopped trying to understand who she ended up with!:P

Huh...Well as far as I read I wouldn't have seen this coming. Can't say it was the worst choice she could have made.
And that was why everyone was so upset. NOBODY saw that coming. And, you're right, it wasn't the worst choice she could have made, but it was so out of left field . . .
I just think it was "the safe choice". I obviously don't know what happens in the next books and I haven't watches the show but he seems like the dependable guy.
And "dependable" is SO exciting. *rolls eyes* That's part of the reason, I'm rereading (aside from my general love of the early Sookie books). I wanted to see if the evidence was there all along, and we all just missed it b/c we were so sure she'd end up with youknowwho.

I avoided the internet for DAYS. But in hindsight, not as big of a surprise as I'd initially thought ;)
They are there. Like EVERYWHERE. It's kind of shocking that nobody caught on . . . I think we were all deep in the depths of seeing only what we wanted to see.
