I recently hopped on the phone with August Burns Red vocalist Jake Luhrs while the band was enjoying an off day in Canada, as part of their co-headlining tour with Between The Buried and Me. We spoke about the tour, Found In Far Away Places, their recent Grammy nomination, and even the idea of a 10-year tour for Messengers. You can read the interview here.
I love my relationship with God, and I desire to know him more. I’m in awe of him and I’m infatuated, and I always grow when I learn about who God is and how he intended me me to be and live. So for me, that relationship is going and going, that my entire life is a marathon and that I’ll constantly forever keep growing with God until I die.

I went on tour with Forever Losing Sleep, a small band from North Jersey and it really made me realize how much hard work goes into being a small band touring. Following this article will be various articles of what it's really like.

I went on tour with the attitude of “I’m 24 years old, if I don't do it now, I’m not really sure when I’m going to,” and I came home with it essentially being a life changing experience. As I sit in an airport in Las Vegas and reflect upon the last two weeks, I really can’t imagine my trip going any differently than it did. This experience has opened up my eyes to so many things; I’ve met many wonderful people, and learned more about myself and the music...

Fader Friend have shared the stage with Have Mercy, Turnover, and You Blew It! among others. Their debut full length, DIZZIER, will release this summer, but you can check out the video for the new single "Light and the Dark" in the replies. The album was mixed by Anthony Diaz De Leon (This Will Destroy You) and mastered by Justin Shturtz (Paramore, All Time Low). Fans of the aforementioned bands should really enjoy this one.

Read my review and see my pictures of Mac Sabbath's recent sold-out show at The Middle East in Cambridge, MA. Witnessing the fast food-themed heavy metal parody band live proved to be a surreal, theatrical experience.
Like a McDonald's Happy Meal, Mac Sabbath combines several things I love - in this case: heavy metal, fast food, comedy and puns - into one convenient package. After building a buzz in their homestate of California, the self-proclaimed "drive thru metal" group brought their parodies on the road for their first US tour, dubbed the Rock-Sham-Shake Tour.

Yesterday afternoon, I spoke with Underoath vocalist Spencer Chamberlain on the phone before the band got ready to play a show in Los Angeles. We spoke about the Rebirth tour, future music plans, and more. If you have an opportunity to make it to a show on this tour, do not hesitate to do so. You can read the interview here.
This tour has been absolutely fantastic, better than we ever could have expected. I don’t think we realized what was going to happen when we got back together in a room and get on stage and just be able to play, while we’re all friends again and we respect each other, love each other, and that energy comes through for the live band.
