Exploration Remote Sensing: What Every Geologist Needs to Know About Technology and Trends for 2017
The webinar will showcase highlights of geological remote sensing as applied to mineral exploration with a focus on latest resource satellites including the American DigitalGlobe WorldView-3 platform. WorldView-3 satellite data represents the most significant advance in geological remote sensing and is the clear successor to Landsat and ASTER for exploration, mining, petroleum and related environmental applications.
Available commercially for just over a year, WorldView-3 measures 17 spectral bands with pixel sizes ranging from 30cm to 7.5m and creates an opportunity to search the globe for what the previous resource satellites have missed. Exploration Mapping Group will show a variety of applications for base and precious metals exploration, mining and environmental applications.
