    We have Prez w/no prior Gov or military Exp. Now we are to have an (acting) Sec Def who has none either. Before joining DOD last year Shanahan joined Boeing in his early 20s & spent 3 decades only there. Just like Tillerson did at Exxon. Was bad for State &will be bad for DOD!

    I am pleased to announce that our very talented Deputy Secretary of Defense, Patrick Shanahan, will assume the title of Acting Secretary of Defense starting January 1, 2019. Patrick has a long list of accomplishments while serving as Deputy, & previously Boeing. He will be great!

    Longstanding US policy on the Kurds has been to stiff them at every opportunity. And why not? They're after all one of thew few Mideastern groups making serious tries at democracy.

    I spend so much time focusing on the Palestinians and their misfortunes, both those self-imposed and those imposed upon them, but it’s tough to conclude that any group has been screwed over as often and as much as the Kurds. And now the next chapter in that story is imminent.
