    The real problem here, aside from profound ignirance, is that Ben is shilling for a position that leads to a pretty strict legal ban against abortion, thereby nullifying all the nuanced wisdom of halakha, and the authority of religious Jews to render halakhic decisions.

    this thread is newly relevant on the modern orthodox internet

    conversations about women's torah learning are tragic in lots of ways, but the thing that makes me saddest is that women work so hard to prove they love torah that they can't even get to loving mitzvot

    The early and later generations were different. The early generations loved the Holy Tongue & wore it as a crown. No one of the later generations wants anything to do with Hebrew. When the pragmatists increased its glory was gone. People became Socialists or Zionists.
