With loss of Hashemi I don’t know any other figure with whom I share so many experiences & long history in ups & downs of this historic era.

His huge responsibilities during Holy Defense & heading Parl. & other positions were brilliant chapters in life of this veteran combatant.

His abundant wisdom & unique intimacy through years, was a confident fulcrum for everyone who was working with him, particularly myself.

Loss of a combatant & friend with whom history of our cooperation & beginning of empathy is as long as whole 59 years, is a difficult agony.

Sorrowfully I received news of sudden demise of my old friend esteemed Hojjat al-Islam wal-Moslemin Sheikh Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
