    This fallacy that you're not using Bitcoin unless you're running a node needs to go. Today 1% of Bitcoin users run nodes if you look at the numbers. Most users do not need nodes. Yet LN does payment transmittals without touching the blockchain and you don't question that?

    Celebrate LN all you want. It doesn't scale globally, it doesn't solve the fee problem. If you only have 20 bucks left in BTC, no Lightning Network channel can save you. You are done for and your money is lost. LN is neutral tech. Depending on it exclusively is flawed approach.

    Isn't it funny how Dev Luke-Jr can openly state that SPV wallets (as described in the whitepaper), are not using real Bitcoin, and that you may as well use Paypal and such... when he has openly stated in the past that users must pay subscription fees to Lightning Network hubs?

    Bitcoin cash is right there. No bastardisation via segwit and no control via a cap that needed to be removed in 2012. Bitcoin cash is still bitcoin.

    The owner of the official BTC website doesn't mince words. Adam Back and Greg Maxwell have an agenda when it comes to Bitcoin and the high fees. Core lost their credibility a long time ago.

    High fees in the absence of a functioning and widely supported second layer is a disaster. No matter which way you spin it. Anyone telling you that it’s somehow OK to pay these exorbitant fees likely has some sort of agenda.
