    It's done. I'm a former science writer for The Oz, but it's election coverage was so misleading I had to cancel my online subscription. It lost its 'conservative but honest' rep a few years on from the GFC but the race to the tabloid right since last year is unforgivable.

    I had to speak to 40 people seeking asylum today whose lives have been profoundly devastated by this election result, at the . Their faces were full of tears & agony but also a determination to not give up. If refugees can do this then we owe it to stand up & be counted too
