    I accept your opinion on this matter is a reasonable one. That doesn't justify a news organization's publishing an unfounded accusation.

    If the EO's rollout gave basis for benefit of doubt, I'd agree. But it didn't and court order was simple and easy to fulfill.

    Is annual road spending really a good proxy for "safety"? And how do you disaggregate terror spending from total defense/law enforcement?

    TOTAL road spending is <$100b/yr. WOT is >$200b/yr. Including 9/11, the death toll on the roads is 160x higher.

    "Defies" implies the delays are both unreasonable and willful. Maybe they are, but the story's evidence is far from sufficient to show it.

    Story doesn't even establish that--only that the lawyers were getting impatient--much less that the BP is defying the order.

    Come on. Point is they were improperly kept from counsel. Court ordered access. No good reason to delay for hours.
