    One of the most fascinating things about reading old papers is realizing just how many current ‘novel’ and ‘groundbreaking’ concepts in neuroscience were studied under different names 40 years ago

    1/ Exactly the same theory was formalized by Russel Lande in 1976 and developed further by other evolutionary quantitative geneticists, and now the molecular biologists and medical scientists are re-discovering it in 2018 as "the omnigenic model"

    Through neglect, both were similarly responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands. Whole communities were decimated while the powerful laughed at them. Nobody wants to hear this and nobody will read this anyways, but I felt like I had to say something, if only for my own sake.

    We can even see how Obama wrote off rural America all the way back in 2008, saying all the people who lost their jobs were probably just frustrated because they were racist and their concerns weren't worth listening to.

    However, nearly everyone in the media and the Obama administration did run in the "right" circles, and either didn't know this was a problem, didn't care, or their solutions were laughably ineffective (remember how Hillary was going to teach everyone in WV how to code lol)
