    Yay! I just learned yesterday that Fred, the last of Dora's puppies still at the has been adopted. All eight of our former foster puppies now have forever homes. This makes me very happy...

    Damn. I can't believe the day is here. The puppies are going back to to be placed in forever homes. It's bittersweet. I'm sad to see them go in a couple of hours, but happy my wife and I got the chance to raise them thus far.

    My main concern is whether Gawande has sufficient business experience to run a venture of this size. I tend to doubt it, his other considerable talents notwithstanding.
