David Grossman’s Tweets

He's likely the most referenced non-American politician in our politics, and that's because there's a vague understanding that he was evil without any understanding of what he actually did. Which allows Holocaust deniers like this guy to worm their way into politics

I think one of the best things anyone could do for themselves these days is pick up one of the big doorstop books about Hitler. Yeah it's like, who wants to read that, but understanding exactly what happened in Nazi Germany is going to become increasingly important

“I was incredibly uncomfortable throughout both videos, and was in shock that she would do something illegal like that,” the student wrote, adding parenthetically “I am pretty sure a teacher talking about systemic racism is illegal in South Carolina.”

an important qualification for being a cabinet member of the israeli government is being the whiniest baby of all time

Also since Israel’s minister of disapora affairs accuses me of spreading fake news and “lashon hara,” I’d like to clarify a few things. 1. picture I posted on Twitter of him at the Israeli day parade was not photoshopped and not taken out of context. It never had a caption.

It’s also becoming clear that the global town square needs transformation—to drive civilization forward through the unfiltered exchange of information and open dialogue about the things that matter most to us.

Doug Burgum is set to become the top-spending GOP presidential candidate in Iowa ($1.7 million) and New Hampshire ($1.3 million) over the next three weeks. Mostly on broadcast. Burgum is self-funding and has lowest unit rate access, so he's running 2x Tim Scott's ratings points.

With the Franks, especially Leo, they're very isolated from other Jews in the area, which wasn't true in real life. IRL Frank was the president of the local Bnei Brith. There's no sense of Jewish community, just a one-off line about Northern and Southern Jews are different

Like the show opens and closes with the origins of Lost Causeism in Georgia, which is interesting, but never quite makes clear how that is connected to antisemitism. There's no clear overarching reason why people in Marietta hate Jews

The music of Parade was astonishing, Ben Platt is that good, and I'm very glad the show exists but I did find it's portytal of both the Leo Frank case and antisemitism somewhat one-dimensional

I love that Vollman did an early version of the "FBI guy watching me through my computer" meme

thinking of the Unabomber, my favorite thing orbiting this story is William Vollmann getting his FBI file & learning that for the longest time they thought he was the Unabomber & were surveilling him. He then wrote this @Harpers piece "Life as a Terrorist" harpers.org/archive/2013/0

Above all else it's remarkable how honest Netanyahu has been about being an open apartheidist for over a decade and how desperate Obama and Biden have both been in attempting to affirm a meaningless buzzword salad that is the "two state solution" and the "peace process".
Quote Tweet
Worth listening to this part, where Bibi promotes the one (apartheid) state solution: He claims preventing Jews from living in WB settlements is “ethnic cleansing” while "Arabs live inside Israel" & in the future we will “have to live next to each other”

At Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank where @DrewFromTV is picking up the tab for striking writers who show their WGA card and the manager says the tab he’s covering is around $50k. Per week. We are heading into week 7, with no negotiations scheduled. This is the 2nd strike he’s done this.
