The additional fees you can collect

These additional fees aren’t included in the nightly price you set, but guests will notice an increase in price if any additional fees are added. These fees include:

• Cleaning fee: Cover cleanup costs after guests check out.
• Pet fee: Make it easy to welcome pets by covering the cost of expected cleaning. Remember, service animals always stay for free.
• Extra guest fee: Add a fee for each guest you’re willing to accommodate beyond your normal limit.

How fees are calculated

• Cleaning fee: A flat fee, fixed per booking
• Pet fee: A flat fee per booking, per pet, per night, or per pet per night
• Extra guest fee: A flat fee for each additional guest beyond your normal limit

Understanding what your guests pay can help you offer the best value and support your earnings goals. Their total price includes your nightly price, any additional fees you set (for cleaning, extra guests, or pets), Airbnb’s service fees, and taxes.

The cleaning fee is shown separately to guests, unless the feature to have your total price is turned on. You’ll also get a full price breakdown in your payout report.

Additional fees for professional Hosts

If you’re using Airbnb’s professional hosting tools, you can add 4 more additional fees to your listing: Resort fee, linens fee, management fee, and community fee.
