The app was working fine but now the notification sounds are not working, I've tried every possible fix and still nothing. This is a very important feature for my work. I have sent emails to customer service and there's no response. So maybe I'll get some help here?

Hello? I never EVER get a warm fuzzy feeling when sending email! The UI is wonderful! Concerning when sending email. Like it will never get there! I'd be happier if there were constant updates like my other apps. That would show me Yahoo is trying-harder at least! (I'm a web des/dev and know stuff)

Very easy and simple to use. It's organized efficiently so there's no problems or confusion. I always use it. Little while after using. It's still a good app. The only issue I've come across is that I can't open attached files. I used to be able to do it through my browser, I used to save it to the phone, but now that's not working either. What's up with that yahoo?

You have SECURE MESSAGING rated at 96%. Is that a joke or did Y! forget about the data loss & also failed to notify users in a timely manner. It was old news when Y! got around to informing their users. Thanks Y! but never again. Data loss/breach will happen to all people using a large service as Y!, Google, Amazon but it was what you DIDNT do. You failed to notify your USERS in a timely manner.

I've been using Yahoo mail for at least sixteen years and I'm ready to give up here. This app is very slow to load, freezes constantly leaving me to have to manually close it. I've gotten to the point of accessing my yahoo mail through my Gmail app. Can't see my spam mail, email I've gotten for years gets lost in the spam mail I can't see. I have a hell of a time deleting old email or even switching between my two accounts. Besides the fact that this app takes up more space on my phone than any other app.

I have been fairly happily using BT yahoo mail. That disappeared this week and is replaced by Yahoo Mail. Suddenly it's asking for a PIN number! I've never had a PIN number, or if I have its years ago. I have no idea what my Pin number is. Where do I get one?

I could not get emails for over a day for no reason. I like icons In the inbox and swipe left-right function. But access to emails is the most critical in my opinion. In iPhone, I was able to use one app to view all my emails, (gmail & yahoo mail in one app) but in Android,should I have different app for different email address? Ridiculous!!
This App, has a good layout but, it has too many bugs. After the last update it keeps crashing right after you try to send an email, so you have to reload and try to send again. Also if you reply to an email and change the subject it also gets error msgs and does not send the email. After this happens you have to write a whole new email, because the old email string with the error won't work.
Recently updated and now I receive a notification of new mail. Swipe it but no email there? Finally discovered that they are going in Trash!! I open trash and then the new mails disappear and go in inbox?? What's happening? - new update and again the emails appear for a second then 'disappear' , no longer do in trash but into the great unknown... Absolute Garbage...
This is my main email contact and have had it for years with no issues...until now! I can't sign in, it timed me out and I forgot my password. I went through the process to add new password and now I get error, try again later. I need my email for work etc. Please sort it or I will have to find an alternative and delete yahoo!
Its telling me my session timed out i have tobsign in again. This makes no sense i never had to sign in everytime i open the app. And u forcing me to change my password. For some reason my other accou t is not on here either. I have no issue with yahoo on my pc. So i will stick with that i will deleting this off my phone unless issue gets fixed
Have not been able to send an email for the last month from my yahoo account on my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone. Not had problems before. Have uninstalled and the reinstalled but to no avail. Very disappointed that I can't seem to find solution either.

Thanks for letting us know. Please feel free to email us at [email protected] so we can investigate. Yahoo made me change my password, but didn't notify me when they were revoking the old one. I thought it was my phone for several days and tried several different things. I finally worked my way to checking my email. It directed me into downloading the app. But after all that crap, I was able to get my emails.
Total BS!!! App update won't allow me to get into my account unless I change my password to that pin number crap!!! I don't want to do it so why force me into doing it???????? Now to log in I also need to change my password!! Now apparently it's to easy hahahaha yet I've had the password for almost 8 years and never had a breach into my account. I've had this email address for 14 odd years... So why mess me around? Very frustrating
It's a great app and all but I can't add a second Yahoo account. Everytime I go to add the second Yahoo account it always tells me that it can't load it right now to try back in a few minutes and I have repeated this process over two dozen times. Make it better, Yahoo.
Got Samsung Galaxy phone, starred emails disappeared from my tablet for some reason, but are on my phone there's no way to contact yahoo and ask why. Also don't like how it groups emails together. Seems more secure than hotmail account though.
BROKEN...I used to love the yahoo mail app, that was until the Dec update. Since then all my yahoo linked accounts stopped working. They work fine for desktop but in the app they state inbox is empty and will not receive any emails. I'm not sure if this was a result of the Dec security announcement or the update but not having the yahoo linked accounts work properly is making me want to say goodbye and use a 3rd party app. Please fix this issue😢

Very sorry for your troubles! Please feel free to email us so we can investigate further. Email is [email protected]. It wont let me delete emails. My inbox is getting crowded with old emails. Everytime I try to delete it says "failed to perform action". I've even tried to move them to other folders but I keep getting the same message. This is getting OLD. Guess I will start using gmail
Glad I added the app to my phone. Love the format. I've been with Yahoo since late 90's. I still wish Yahoo would help me recover my original e-mail.. Lost the password and I could never get back in.
I've had Yahoo mail for over 25 year's loving no matter what I'm on I can get my email. Been through many pc's and phone's but one thing has stayed the same, my yahoo! Thanks Yahoo
Yahoo Mail App is Much easier to manage on the go and has really stepped up their game with more security Features for their customers with their latest security hack. I'm happy with yahoo mail overall despite the latest security breach they had. I'm still a fan. Nice to use and have for an email.
1/22. Cleared cache and still have no notification sounds. This sucks. No notifications sounds...this is a REAL PAIN. Hope I don't get any important emails, because I'll never know if I do. 1/24 - I am not getting notifications, but no sounds. The phone now vibrates, but there is no notification sound. I sent my log in through the app. 1/25 - I got my sounds until like 3 pm and then they stopped again. Sounds are intermittent.

*Since you're on 7.1, long press on a Notification and make sure 'Don't silence or block' is selected.
**Thanks for the update again! Images not loading when the mail is opened. This update is crap. What's your dedicated team doing. Spoiling the app uh... Someone working on the above issue? If not its time to move out of Yahoo..

I'd like to get this fixed for you. Send me a message, [email protected] with your Yahoo ID are I'll look into this issue. Never had a problem with yahoo for years until recently. All of a sudden everytime i download a music attachment it downloads as a blank file and i cant do anything with it this is happening on mobile and on my laptop. Is it just my account? Help pls!!!
I am trying desperately to get a new password and with this app I can't. I get an account key but never does it lead me to be able to change my password. I don't like-really hate the advertisement that always shows up and the old one was clearer on who is sending me an email. I will probably go to another email as soon as I let my friends know.
Love this app on my phone. However, I keep getting messages from Yahoo Mail asking me to upgrade to the 5.0 version for my Android phone. I feel kind of silly but I can't find the updated version at the Google Play Store. I only see the 4.3 version. Please advise and thank you.
Finally back working like before 95%.... Still the same nothing has changed for the good. New mail sin't in bolder print so I know what is new. Things worked fine before. Newest update you can't even go to next email without returning to incoming mailbox. Hate it hate it hate it. Don't get any email all day then pow all at once.... Update & messing up again. Why fix it & then make problems updating????
I now HATE yahoo and will be finding a new email service. First I shouldn't "have" to change my password because you "say so." Second, everytime I need to send an email I have to reinstall to get it to go without the red error box.
Cumbersome and intrusive. Does not allow me to use my own phone app for my yahoo mail anymore. The keyed sign in is annoying. It simply generates more junk mail, this time from yahoo. No way to look up adresses in my account. I have to look them up on my computer. Reinstalled ONLY because it does not allow me to use my phone app for their email anymore. I hate it.
Have to change most of my rating for the new Yahoo Mail, can use my own signature, but, can't delete most of my email 📧 correctly also, cannot get my avatar in the correct place instead of a car 🚗. Been using the same avatar for the last 30 yrs and I want it back. I do use yahoo on my tablet. Yahoo Mail still the very best. I still enjoy using Yahoo mail, I do not believe that I have used any other mail system, to be honest, I do not believe I would know how to use another email address system.
Yahoo lost 1.5 BILLION email accounts to hackers along with passwords and security questions, some unencrypted. And they took 2 YEARS to tell the public. How stupid do you have to be to use this service now? Seriously. There are better options.
Was my first ever email app back in the 90s and I'm still using it. No complaint so far until recently. I need to sign in again after changing my notebook and aftef repairing my smartphone. Yahoo made this exceptionally difficult to sign in and for non tech people it's almost impossible to sign in esp when they forget their passwords. It's supposed to boost the app's security but I ended up almost wanting to delete this account forever. I hate this security update!
I had been a member for yahoo for almost 20 years until now. Yahoo app wont let me have option to turn the news off on my fricking yahoo mail app. It said mail app. You keep sent me the news! I am going to closed my yahoo account for good! You ruined my life.
Why can't I take a screenshot within the app? I have to forward my email that I want to take a screenshot of to a different email, open their app, then I can take a screenshot. Can't find an option in settings that enables/disables screenshot taking
After yrs of use I can honestly say. Yahoo has been faithful & I dont plan 2 devorse Him no time soon. Besides, u can't get better than FREE 99, SMILES. Till death do use part
I've been with Gmail since it's inception, currently managing 3 accounts. I don't really know why, but I never gave yahoo a moment to consider simply trying it out. I have to admit, I like the way it is set up, the many options afforded to anyone to personalize their account, and it's just prettier. Smooth and easy to use, I like it. Better than Gmail, as weird as that sounds in my brain...😎🤘
Some iran person hacked my gmail account and then deleated 152 phone contacts and did some other damage. GOOGLE WONT HELP BECAUSE 2 PEOPLE CAN HAVE THE SAME NAME IS WHAT I WAS TOLD BY GOOGLE. Some people are about as intelligent as a hemorrhoid.That person must of made it past the crack.
After years of using this app as my main link to the world, in all conscience I finally feel compelled to write about it. I find the Android app just as capable as the Windows program for managing my mail, for automatically filtering incoming activity into organized folders, out of the way of my day for later, but still helping me see what I need to see as soon as possible. Combined with my smartwatch for notifications about important activity, this app provides an important crucial tool to manage my piece of mind. And of course, Yahoo has the best spam eliminator system so when my watch vibrates I know it will not be a Viagra salesman; and because of the filtering folders it will not be the Best Buy salesman with yet another bargain I simply must definitely see, now. Thank you, Yahoo. I now forgive you for killing Geocities and all the hundreds of thousands of websites of the little people. Perhaps that bad karma is now over for you, and you can finally step up and regain your previous glory.
UPDATE - LOSES A STAR BECAUSE EVERY TIME THEY UPDATE, IT STARTS BOTHERING ME TO RATE AGAIN, even tho I did already, ages ago. - Convenient, especially considering it now let's me add my other email accounts, even non-yahoo ones.
I don't generally have too many problems with this app but lately it won't send any of my outgoing emails. This is particularly an issue when i can't respond to urgent messages while at work because I can't access yahoo online through the work computers.
