    It is so hard when I try to "mingle" at a reception with people I don't know very well. I try to stand close to a small group of people, listen to what they talk about, make eye contact, laugh at the right moments, but after 5 min of them ignoring me, I give up.

    I sometimes find it hard to interact with humans. I continuously feel I belong to a different species and am not sure how to read them or act in the way I should behave.

    I think for me one of the biggest highlights was winning best poster at the Spring Meeting and at the Graduate School Poster Day - both were great experiences! Excited for what 2019 has in store!
