According to the preliminary changelog, it would appear that Mozilla Firefox 51.0 is improving the video performance for those of us with older computers that don’t have GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) acceleration. Besides using less CPU power, the new Firefox version will also offer you a better full-screen experience. More information here.

The PCLinuxOS kernels have been updated to 4.9.5 and 4.4.44 LTS. Both kernels feature updated video, sound and network drivers. You can install either or both kernels through the Synaptic Package Manager. Greg Kroah-Hartman recently named the 4.9.x branch as a long-term kernel (LTS), yet this is not apparent from kernel.org.
