PILOT Demonstrates First ATSC 3.0 Interactive Environment Prototype Home Gateway at NAB Show

A prototype ATSC 3.0 receiver and gateway demonstrating the Interactive Environment will be featured during NAB Show, April 18 - 21, 2016, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nev., in the PILOT booth (SU16009) at the Futures Park exhibition in the east end of South Hall, Upper Level. The “Next Generation TV” standard, or ATSC 3.0, was developed by the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC), a cooperative effort by the broadcast, consumer electronics, cable, satellite, motion picture and computer industries. One of the key features of ATSC 3.0 is the Interactive Environment.

NAB Show to Showcase The Future of Drone Technology and Aerial Content Creation

NAB Show, the world’s largest annual conference and expo for professionals who create, manage, and distribute entertainment across all platforms, will feature a broad slate of sessions and programs and exhibits dedicated to the latest trends in drone production and technology. On Wednesday, April 20, NAB Show will host the Super Session “Drones: Opening New Vistas to Content” which will focus on how drone-based production differs from traditional methods; how drones can be used safely and reliably in light of FAA regulations; and key factors that need to be considered when arranging and executing drone shots. 

Television Network Affiliate Groups to Meet at 2016 NAB Show

The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that FOX Television and the CW Network will host meetings with their affiliated television station representatives at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Also, the affiliate boards of directors of ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX Television will once again hold meetings during the NAB Show.

'Two And A Half Men' Actor Jon Cryer to Host NAB Show Television Luncheon

Emmy award-winning actor Jon Cryer of the CBS hit comedy “Two and a Half Men” will emcee the NAB Show Television Luncheon. The Luncheon will take place Monday, April 18 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino and includes the induction of Chuck Lorre into the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
