McGill joins GULF
McGill Principal Suzanne Fortier has accepted an invitation to join the Global University Leaders Forum (GULF), an intellectual community made up of 26 of the world’s top universities. McGill is the only Canadian member of GULF, whose role is to advise World Economic Forum leaders on matters relating to higher education and research.

NSERC announces grants
At a press conference held at McGill, NSERC’s Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) announced a total of $21.4 million in new grants, $1.6 million of which will fund a six-year project led by Jake Barralet, Professor of Experimental Surgery in McGill’s Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry.
