Today, SIBAT, the International Defense Cooperation Directorate at Israel's Ministry of Defense, will be presenting a wide array of innovative and extensively proven defense technologies at Israel's National Pavilion at the 2016 Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris, France.
Twenty-nine Israeli companies will display their cutting edge systems such as robotics solutions, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) with unique border protection and intelligence capabilities, armored vehicles, force protection equipment, electro-optical devices for artillery and infantry, airborne communications, will be on display.

Israel-US Joint Arrow 2 Missile Defense Test Conducted

The Israel Missile Defense Organization and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency conducted today an intercept test of the Arrow 2 interceptor missile. An Arrow 2 missile was launched and performed its flight sequence as planned. The results are being analyzed by program engineers.
The test results have no effect on the Israeli operational systems capability to cope with the existing threats in the region. This test was an improved version of the joint U.S. - Israel AWS, intended to counter future threats.
Israel allows in all the food and medicine that Gaza wants. Everything can go in, except for weapons and items that can be used to make weapons.
Same goes for the ability of people to cross the border for medical needs and for business. 10% of the people who crossed the border were internationals - journalists & aid workers.
Given Hamas' creation of terror tunnels used by it to carry out terrorist attacks in Israel against civilians, it is clear that there has to be control o...ver what goes into the Gaza strip, so as to make sure that it is not used for Hamas' terrorist infrastructure.

Today, more than 50 people were supposed to cross and receive medical aid, but approximately an hour ago a number of mortars were fired at the crossing; direct and continuous fire purposely aimed at the crossing. As a result of the fire, a number of Israelis that came to provide humanitarian assistance were injured and the Ministry of Defense has decided to close the crossing until further notice.
Since the start of Operation Protective Edge, the Ministry of Defense has been working around the clock to facilitate the transfer and medical care of injured and sick patients from the Gaza Strip to hospitals in Israel through the Erez Crossing, and the transfer of more than 5,000 tons of medical equipment through the Kerem Shalom Crossing.
While we were sending goods into Gaza today, rockets struck the border crossing, forcing it to close. Share this if you agree that Hamas is responsible for depriving Palestinians of vital humanitarian aid.

Shawn Carmeli, Sgt. Max Steinberg and St. Sgt. Jordan Ben-simon, who fell in Operation Protective Edge.

"As you know, we are now in the 15th day of Operation Protective Edge. In the Gaza Strip we are facing a terror entity led by Hamas with other terror factions, who violate international law by using rockets and all kinds of terror deliberately targeting our civilians and using their own civilians as human shield.
I hope this visit will give you a better understanding of the challenges ahead of us.
...We are ready and determined to continue this operation until we stop this wave of violence against our civilians."
