I did a lot of vocals recording Monday – some tracks I intend to keep, some more or less placeholders, scratch tracks for other vocalists – all on the new system, all at the absolutely goofy 0.7ms buffer setting, just to see if the system would actually work, being driven that hard all the time, over hours.

It does.

It hiccoughed a couple of times. Nothing involving data loss – after waking back up from screen lock mode, the audio subsystem had to be restarted by me, rather than coming back up on its own. I need to disable screen locking anyway. Once during some playback, I heard a momentary pause, though no XRUNs showed up in the status monitor, so I’m not sure what’s up with that.

I should probably, I dunno, step back a bit? Give it some margin for error? But so far, I’m not being forced to.

In other news, all 39 episodes of Revolutionary Girl Utena are legally on YouTube now. YOU HAVE NO MORE REASONS TO DELAY AND MAY START WATCHING NOW.

(Because jfc the chemistry between Utena and Anthy is smokin’ right out the goddamn gate. I do not like the series’s ending, because reasons addressed pretty directly by Avatar: The Legend of Korra, but everything up until that is amazing.)

আকবর শাহ থানার ওসি সদীপ কুমার দাশ জানায়, সোমবার রাতে গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে এস আই আবু হাসনাত মোহাম্মদ মাজেদুল হকের নেতৃত্বে পুেিশর একটি টিম বাগান বাড়ি রোডস্থ মোস্তফা হাকিম ভ্যালী সীমানার প্রাচীরের বাহিরে পাকা রাস্তার উপর হতে একটি দেশীয় তৈরী একনলা বন্ধুক ও ২টি কার্তুজসহ মোঃ ইসমাঈলকে গ্রেফতার করেছে।

সে বর্তমানে বিশ্বব্যাংক কৈবল্যধাম আবাসিক এলাকা, ব্লক – এইচ, মেডিকেলের পিছনে ইব্রাহিমের ভাড়াটিয়া। এব্যাপারে থানায় অস্ত্র আইনে মামলা হয়েছে।

The fact of the matter is that she'd spent too much of her life drifting, too many nights in the oddest and least hospitable places, for this not to happen. This being her falling asleep in a public spot, specifically in one of the common rooms where she's taken to spending her time. Laid out on the couch, it's not the wisest of plans but... there she is.

Otherwise, you're apt to find her in three spots: the greenhouse, the pub, or the lab, funnily enough. She's getting a feel for some of the equipment there to see how it interacts with her own technique. After all, nothing wrong with getting experimental when you've got the time...

চট্টগ্রামের বোয়ালখালীতে বিয়ের নয় মাসের মাথায় প্রিয়া দত্ত (২০) নামের এক গৃহবধু আত্মহত্যা করেছে। উপজেলার পূর্ব গোমদন্ডী দত্তপাড়ার মনোরঞ্জন দত্তের বাড়ির দোতলায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে। পুলিশ মঙ্গলবার (২৬জুলাই) সন্ধ্যা সাড়ে ৭টার দিকে গৃহবধুর লাশ উদ্ধার করেছে।

বোয়ালখালী থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ মো. সালাহ উদ্দিন ঘটনার সত্যতা স্বীকার করে জানান, নিহত গৃহবধু প্রিয়া দে কানুনগোপাড়া স্যার আশুতোষ সরকারি কলেজে (হিসাব বিজ্ঞান) অনার্সের ৩য় বর্ষের ছাত্রী। প্রিয়ার স্বামী সঞ্জয় দত্ত উপজেলা একটি মাধ্যমিক উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ে শিক্ষকতা করেন। পুলিশ তার লাশ করেছে এবং আগামীকাল বুধবার ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য মর্গে প্রেরণ করা হবে।

প্রিয়ার স্বামী সঞ্জয় দত্ত জানান, প্রতিদিনের ন্যায় মঙ্গলবার প্রিয়া কলেজ থেকে বাড়ি ফিরে। এরপর খাওয়া দাওয়া শেষে বিকেল সাড়ে ৪টার দিকে বাড়ির দোতলায় গিয়ে ঘরের দরজা বন্ধ করে দেয়। এরপর দেখি এ ঘটনা। প্রিয়া কেন এমন কান্ড করল বুঝতে পারছি।
