A mighty feast of exceptionally innovative and original new works was offered up at American Modern Ensemble’s 2016 Awards Night concert at National Sawdust last week in Williamsburg.

Congratulations to ASCAP member Ben Johnston and the Kepler Quartet. In line with the composer’s 90th birthday just last month, we are now happy to report his “Mount Everest of String Quartets" (Kyle Gann) has successfully launched to great fanfare.

Composer Brane Živković, a steadfast 25 year member with a versatile catalogue and vibrant career, came by for a cheerful visit to our ASCAP New York office earlier this week.

The ASCAP Foundation proudly announces the establishment of The ASCAP Foundation Fred Ho Award to honor the memory of revolutionary Chinese American baritone saxophonist, composer, band leader, producer, writer and activist Fred Ho.

The SONiC Festival has once again left behind its unique and memorable trail of sonically adventurous, innovative concerts. We are proud that out of the almost 100 composers under age 40 who participated, the overwhelming majority are affiliated with ASCAP.
