Refugee Community Kitchen
Charity description
Refugee Community Kitchen was created in the winter of 2015 to provide nutritious food for the refugees in the Calais and Dunkirk camps.
After 5 months of fulfilling our original remit and supplying up to 2500 meals a day at the height of winter, we now find ourselves maintaining the supply of 1800 hot, healthy and nutritious meals a day. As well as embarking on building communal kitchens, supplying food, which allow the residents in the camps to cook their own food giving them the food they want to eat and the dignity of feeding their families.
Refugee Community Kitchen is now committed and continue working with the other volunteer groups and NGO’s to make sure that as long as this crisis continues there will be hot and healthy food.
This can only be done with your continued support in both donations and coming to work in the kitchens.
Refugee Community Kitchen is a charitable fund under the auspices of Prism the Gift Fund Registered Charity Number: 1099682.
