On May 10th, join thousands of organizations, companies, schools, museums, libraries and homes — anywhere people already gather — in a global conversation about what it will take to get to a more gender-balanced world in all sectors of society: business, politics, culture, home, and more. 50/50 Day is based on the model of our annual Character Day, which last year had over 93,000 events in 125 countries and all 50 states.
On May 10, groups around the world will:
1. Screen the acclaimed 20 min film 50/50: Rethinking the Past, Present, and Future of Women + Power (watch and learn more).
2. Engage with free discussion materials that we provide, catered to all different ages and types of groups.
3. Tap into a 24 hour global livecast Q&A that unifies all the film screenings and features prominent leaders from diverse perspectives discussing how to get to a more gender-balanced world in all sectors of society: business, politics, culture, society, and home.
A sample one hour 50/50 Day event could look like:
– 5 min introduction
– 20 min film screening
– 20 min watch / ask questions to Global LiveCast Q&A of your choice
– 15 min discussion using discussion guides
Everything is free thanks to generous donations and grants. Visit our FAQ to learn more. Watch 50/50 the film, read press, and more here.
