The Curator of Creativity: issuu Enables 360 Degrees of Imagination
Today we announced a new, elevated, redesigned issuu reading experience. Any tech company will tell you that redesigns are really hard, and there were many reasons why we wanted to deliver a better way to read and discover issuu content from any device. One (massive) piece of inspiration kept the team focused over the course of this giant, company-wide effort — the diverse ecosystem of creative publishers of issuu.
With more than three million publishers across 30 million publications from all over the globe, issuu is the curator of creativity. These creators choose issuu because it’s the center of digital publishing creativity.
Along with introducing the new issuu to the world, we’re proud to highlight a few standout voices in the issuu ecosystem:
Upward Magazine
Upward Magazine is more than just your standard travel magazine. Bringing global content to the culture conscious globe trotter, Upward has turned into a small business that packs a punch. The young powerhouse team has gotten creative to serve their impassioned audience with authentic content they crave. And with their success, they’ve been able to grow their business exponentially along the way.

ONE Magazine
It’s hard to believe but ONE Magazine was started as a simple personal project by Nicole Gavrilles while still in school. Combining her two passions of fashion and design, Nicole was able to create a career around what she loves. More importantly, she’s been able to share it. ONE has grown to be a popular women’s wear magazine, surfacing new names and previously unheard of talent in every issue. ONE Magazine is bringing their fresh perspective on editorial fashion to broader audiences every day.
Tom Tom Magazine
When Mindy Seegal Abovitz of Tom Tom Magazine couldn’t find media that addressed the struggles of being a female drummer in a male-dominated industry, she simply created her own. Now Tom Tom has grown to be more than just a rad feminist music mag — it’s a full-on business with show production and curation, giving female drummers the chance to shine outside the pages of Tom Tom.

Keep Collective is a billion-dollar brand in the making, which uses innovation in digital media to reach anyone who wants to take part in their story of empowerment and success.

Mohawk Fine Paper
Mohawk Fine Paper comes up with the perfect solution to show proof of product to their designer customers – a high- end, beautiful and innovative magazine printed on all their best paper. The magazine has now evolved into even more: it’s got a cult following and really pushes the boundaries of print publishing, so we’re thrilled to have them join the issuu family and apply the same innovative thinking to the digital space.

Norwegian chef, crafter, stylist and all-around creative mastermind, Paul Lowe, includes his unique take on DIY, homemade baked goods and photography in each issue of Sweet Paul Magazine. The “anti-Martha Stewarts” of the world love the simple steps and touching stories to go with each project, and have helped turn Paul’s passion project into a thriving Brooklyn-based business. With huge events, online content and copies of Sweet Paul being sold in stores like Anthropologie, the brand is growing exponentially into a massive movement of those who enjoy the “sweet” things in life.
