TeX for the Impatient - Summary

TeX for the Impatient is a ~350 page book on TeX, plain TeX, and Eplain, written by Paul Abrahams, Kathryn Hargreaves, and Karl Berry.
An PDF of the current version of the book can be downloaded from http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/teximpatient.git/plain/teximpatient/book.pdf
Both TUG ftp://tug.org/tex/impatient/ and CTAN http://www.ctan.org/pkg/impatient have mirrors of the book but they are outdated. I am seeing what I can do to keep them updated as well.

I've obtained a physical copy of the book, so hopefully I can get started on implementing the code to display images where they are in the original version. I plan to backport the code from the Chinese version of the book, available here https://bitbucket.org/zohooo/impatient/wiki/Home

Zou Hu (thank you!) has completed a Chinese translation of TFTI (starting from earlier work by others). The sources are available from https://bitbucket.org/zohooo/impatient and a PDF is at http://zoho.is-programmer.com/user_files/zoho/epics/tex-impatient-cn.pdf ...

The original artwork by Kathryn Hargreaves included in the printed book of TeX for the Impatient is now available in the CVS repository (under the same license as the book itself, GFDLv1.2-or-later). Thanks to William Adams for doing the scanning.
Updates to the book source to incorporate these images would be very welcome.
