Acer announces Chromebook 11 N7.The Acer Chromebook 11 N7 is a rugged Chromebook designed specifically for the education market. Not only can the the Chromebook 11 N7 withstand 60 kg/132 lbs of downward force on the top cover, it can also tolerate drops up to 48-inches. The Chromebook 11 N7 will also feature a recessed keyboard that will withstand spills of up to 11 fluid ounces of water, and that will prevent students from easily removing the key caps.
The Chromebook 11 N7 will come it two models: C731 and C731T. The C731 features an 11.6-inch display at a resolution of 1366x768, whereas the C731T variant has an 11.6-inch touchscreen IPS display at a resolution of 1366x768. Both models will come with an Intel N3060 dual-core processor, up to 4GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of eMMC storage, two USB 3.0 ports, a SD card reader, and an HDMI port. Acer claims the Chromebook 11 N7 will last up to 12 hours with its 45Whr battery.
The Chromebook 11 N7 will be available this month in North America, and February in the EMEA, starting at $229.99 and €299 respectively.
