One would think it was obvious the man was drunk, high, or having a mental episode or some other medical emergency; so why the hell did pepper spray seem like a good idea? Again this Sinclair-owned "news" outlet attempts to provide cover for incompetent/killer police . . .

'An officer was involved in a deadly shooting Sunday night in southeast Oklahoma City.
The shooting was reported around 6:30 p.m. near S.E. 59th Street and Sooner Rd.
According to police, the female officer was responding on a call where a man was lying in the grass outside of a neighborhood on SE 59th.
When the officer approached the suspect he uncooperative, so the the officer used pepper spray on him.
The man then attacked her striking her in the face , so the officer reached for her taser but the suspect stole it from her.
That is when authorities say the officer reached for her firearm and shot him.
The man died from his injuries.
โHopefully our officer is OK and again this is why we take the steps that we do. We have the training that we get and that we receive.. and the equipment that we are able to utilize. You know she used her pepper spray, she escalated to a taser, and then ultimately she had to use her firearm.โ said Captain Bo Mathews of the Oklahoma City Police department.
The officer was transported to a near by hospital for her injuries to her face and hands.
No suspect or officer identification information is being released at this time. SE 59th Street from Sunnylane to Sooner Rd will remained close until early Monday morning.'
