Finals are underway, and hard-working Longhorns are hunkered down across campus studying. Students camping out at the Perry-Castañeda Library got a break from the books and a surprise visit from President Gregory L. Fenves.
Rice bowls, pita bread and a lot of toppings — along with a $36 million investment — helped one UT alumnus earn a spot on this year’s 30 Under 30 list from Forbes.
I'm there! Can't wait to find your San Antonio location so I can try it! Supporting my fellow alumni! Congrats on your success from one restaurateur to another. 🤘
This year, The University of Texas at Austin witnessed the amazing success and achievements of students from across the Forty Acres. From dominating Beijing’s World Robot Conference to having a planet named after one of our students, Longhorns made an impact during 2016.
+Richard F Well I am not one to make excuses and you are correct I did misspell. To expensive and liberal is just how it is though and facts are nasty things that the leftists don't like much.
When talented lower-income students have access to colleges with the highest graduation rates and best track records for post-graduate success, their chances of graduating increases significantly, as do potential life earnings and long-term opportunities.
That’s why we’re joining 29 other schools to give our nation’s best young talent a seat at our top colleges.
UT Austin is among 30 of the nation’s most respected colleges and universities in a new initiative to expand the number of talented low- and moderate-income students at America’s top-performing undergraduate institutions.
The University of Texas at Austin is a top tier institution. I am currently studying here at the McCombs School of Business and I could not be more proud. If you are looking for a school that has fine academics, good sports teams, and a night life, then UT is the place to be. Hook 'em horns!
This is absolutly the worst university ever! students are harrassed and i can almost say that a kid dies everyday so this is a terrible place to go too! They allso dont teach english
My rating is for departments and administrative heads in the College of Liberal Arts. You are on your own. Don't believe what they tell you even if it is in writing. They will "change" policy and ignore they told you otherwise. Then they will keep passing you around until you give up trying to make someone accountable.
What a great school with diverse students from all over Texas and beyond
Great policies for the students to grow and the campus is growing and staying updated
On the whole, professors are mediocre. Many classes are too large. The campus and surrounding areas are overcrowded. UT is focused on maintaining its image instead of helping its students succeed.
Scenic, walkable campus oozes charm, history and fierce school spirit.
Highlights include the tower, or "main building," the Darrell K Royal football stadium, Guadalupe Street's hip-ish Drag and, not least of all, one of America's most naturally attractive student bodies.
Now, if they could just Hook'em-those academics. (^^)
