🗣 My Story
I built Writeaday because I wanted to quickly jot down notes in a journal throughout the day. I didn't want to spend 30 minutes at the end of the day to keep a diary of how my day went. I also wanted a journal that motivated me to keep writing. I had tried to keep a journal in the past and never went more than a month.
Each day is assigned 1 color of the rainbow so that if you write for a full week you get a complete weekly rainbow. Use Writeaday for 1 full week to get the full effect of this concept of "keeping a streak" converted into a visual form as a color gradient.
Reflect on your timeline of entries - your personal writing about your experiences, anything you need to vent about, or any gratitude that you want to express. This is your own personal scrapbook of feelings, whether you need a journal because you want to remember your past. Or because you suffer from depression and you need a diary for a therapeutic way to vent feelings.

If you have Divide Diary, I found that I was able to put in all my entries using the backup/restore feature! It is very convenient. I am able to view entries from months previous, which is amazing. The only thing I am having trouble with is that the "Quick Write" and widget didn't work. I wrote 2 entries and it didn't appear on the regular app so now I have to open the app and then write something instead of having the option to quickly write my thoughts. Overall, I'm super happy with this app! It's colourful and makes me want to write what's going on in my brain.

Can't quickly glance at my writing or read a big blurb of it unless I'm in edit mode. Would love to also look back at daily intentions from previous weeks (like if I clicked on a week the daily intentions from that week would appear? It would be super nice to see growth or changes.) Love the minimalistic design and breathtaking color gradients.
Controls can be improved. Sometimes editing after or during a entry gets finicky with all the places to tap. You're trying to highlight a sentence one second and you're poking a different entry the next. The tags are cool but the programing can use some work. E.g. I like #tiramisu. = [#tiramisu.] or if there's another word, [#tiramisu ____] Overall I'd give it a 3.7 bc I do love the app.

The app and layout is incredibly pleasing to the eye. I would love to commit to this app, but it lacks a search function. The hashtags are supposed to accommodate that, but having hashtags everywhere is not aesthetically pleasing to me. I'd like to be able to search for words or phrases without having to litter my notes with hashtags. No web access is a downside, but it's understandable; however, an account option would be nice so I could access my writings from either my phone or my tablet. I would prefer to not have my phone on me at all times in order to access my writing. So, basically can we merge the aesthetics of this app with the functionality of Google Keep? :)

Exactly the journal app I've been looking for to keep track of my goals and creative ideas. It's visually lovely, intuitive to use, and I love the widget. Only one problem: I'm trying to purchase the lifetime premium version and I keep getting error messages, even after trying multiple payment methods.

Absolutely love this app. I love to write but always have fallen short of making it a habit using other methods. This app makes it easy to jot down whatever's going on without me feeling the need to write an entire page to make it a "proper" journal entry. The gradient is the perfect motivation to keep me going.

It took me less than a day to unlock the full app. I like that it encourages multiple, short notes though the day. The one change I would like to see is automatic backups and restores, so you can move between devices more easily.
This is a good journaling app. There are a few things that make it not a five star for me. It is very hard to delete a line. I end adding more rather than deleting the one I didn't want. That is very frustrating. Also, I would like to be able to use the #'s I create on an ongoing basis, not have to remember with they are every time I go to make an entry. Lastly, it is only good on one device. I would like to be able to login and use it on multiple devices with the entries synced. I have it on a tablet but I do not always have the tablet with me, same with a phone.
This app has its place on the market. It brightens up my phone and day. The developers personality is reflected in the uniqueness and sleekness of the design and concept. Everyone needs to take time to write everyday... Might as well WRITEADAY! The best part is I had a small issue and the developer contacted me directly and resolved it. It wasn't a simple return, he asked for feedback and was cordial. He went above and beyond.

Oh sorry!!! I've been so busy working on features and bug fixes that I haven't been able to check my email quickly enough. If you haven't already, send over your order id and I'll issue a refund. If you're not happy I always guarantee your money back! Update: I don't see your email, can you send to [email protected] I think it's a really great app and I have a really long page. But the thing is that I wish some apps didn't take up so much storage because I had to delete two and I kind of needed them when I need help like a math app. But this app is great.
I love the app, I have always wanted to devote to a journal but I find that I forget to write or don't feel like writing at that time. With this app, I keep a steady schedule about my mind and body without forgetting about it. It's nice that it also reminds me to document as well! The only thing I would like to add to the app is that it would be awesome to be able to add a picture to your daily check ins for the day.
Almost perfect. I agree with other reviewers. When trying to view longer entries, even in the infinity tab, it only displays a portion. I know you are supposed to tap it so that it expands but it seems to glitch, show the entire entry for a second, and then only show a portion--cutting off the rest. Hope that can be fixed soon.
For me, who stares at blank sheets with no idea what to write, this could be a good way back to keeping track of my days. Since I tend to forget things, even better. Still testing :)
++writing many short notes throughout the day. ++color gradient. +backup my data. Need: Support for > 1 device. I'm afraid to back up and restore because I will overwrite some entries. Otherwise, great app!
It's aesthetically good-looking but I wish the lines could be longer. It's kinda uncomfortable to only see two lines of sentences but the color tab is so long... Please fix this :) Thanks
It's was working good. Great. But then one fine day, it stopped. It just wouldn't open! I'd lost all my entries, of around two months! What a mess.
Will rate higher when the premium features get better. I love this app, and I want to buy the full version. Right now, it seems as though it could have a lot more diversity in the paid features. Will definitely keep using.
Really enjoyed using this app, but I switched to a new phone and it won't restore my backup. whenever I do, it says it's got it, restarts, but then nothing happens. :( otherwise, a wonderful app!
Giving trouble. I just typed a long entry abd it's no where to be found. I just retyped another and it's sticking Update: Thank you for the genuine concern. Other than that little glitch, I like the app due to the gradient and the ease. 😊

That's so weird Nali. Let me look into this for you. All entries should actually be autosaved even if you don't tap the check button. If you have any other complaints or more details please send me an email at [email protected] Really good journal app! No ads, beautiful design. I love the approach of writing entries throughout the day, rather than one time per day or whatever. Easy to manage, easy to read, love the gradients for each day. Perfect journal app!!
I love this app!! The only recommendation I have is to have more shades per color, as it tends to run into the shades for the following day if too many comments are made.
this app is great! i'm terrible at writing things down/keeping a journal, but this makes it really easy. plus the design is beautiful, i love the colour gradients! some things that could be improved: can't edit entries further back than a month; glitches like if you add an entry to a previous day it puts in the order as the time you added it the next day (if you added it at 12am the next day it adds it to the top of the day you are adding to) when it should go at the end, or better yet change it so it's possible to arrange entries manually; sometimes when editing multiple entries at once it will replace the text of one or more entries with the text of the one below it; it would also be helpful if it were possible to go to (and edit) entries from the 'tags' and 'infinity/time' sections.
Nice app nice colours, but viewing and editing journal entries are buggy (can't see the whole entry, can't scroll all the way up, entry expands and contracts back right away upon tapping). Pls fix! Thanks for developing :))
The app is very usable. However, the one thing that makes me NOT want to journal is receiving daily reminders. Is there a way to shut that off?

Hey C. Jay, I didn't think notifications would be that annoying. They automatically stop after 1 week! Looks and feel good .But only when you add fewer entries. On multiple entries say 15-20,there comes the glitch. Can't able to click the share button at all,on trying to click it adds new entries.Should also consider rearranging the order of entries and Colors to choose for entries directly.
This app is seriously great. I've never been one to keep a journal of things but this is so simple that it's easy to put updates in. The colors are really fun and vibrant as well making it fun to add notes to the day!
Love this app, use it everyday. I wish that I could edit older entries from more than 2 months ago! I wanted to add tags to them but it won't let me edit them. Would be great if I could go into the infinite diary entry part and be able to edit from there. Thank you! Great app overall
I absolutely love this app even though I'm using only the free features. The premium features seem pretty cool too and I'd love one try them but i can't afford to buy them. Other than that keep doing the good work and hats off!
Honestly, this is one of my very own favorite! I just, really wanted to stary a journal, and the concept of short-entries that'll made beautiful gradient, is sooo good. Ah, i have some problem, from 1) Please improved the controls, especially when we want to edits entries 2) Back-up feature???? 3) Please let me see every entries that i've ever made, from monthly ciews! I know, thay i can stilk look at em through the 'infinity-symbol' but it's not that convenient.... or let me to save-a-whole-day my old contents, thank you!
This is so perfect I bought the full version. It's quick, can be password protected, beautiful and has timestamps. Love it. Some minor viewing issues but still worth the 5 stars
I really like this app. It lets you do multiple, separate entries that you can see all at once so it's sort of like you're texting yourself throughout the day. Not sure if that's what everyone wants, but I really like it. You can easily view past entries and when you pull over the side bar it shows a previous entry so that's really cool.
I loveed it but the fact that it was lagging when i was writing. I give it a 4
I love it! You can set goals using the daily intentions menu, and you can write notes of what you're proud of without writing a whole paragraph of your day. One of the best journal/goal setting apps I've ever used.
Very simplistic and useful. I love the design. It's great cause you don't need much time to sum up your day.
Only problem is when I try to expand the note to read it, it doesn't expand. I have to click edit in order to read the note I wrote from days back.

Hmm let me look into this. How many entries are in the day that you're trying to edit? Let me know at [email protected] Much easier to journal in little bits than once a day. Not happy about it calling me beautiful every morning... Handsome might be nice!
I fall in love for the first time to this app. I think people have to download it. People needs to write and reflect on themselves. This app is super cool. I'm thinking to purchase this app.
really nice and helpful but the tags don't work for me.. anything with a slash is counted as a tag (like i wrote "50/50" and it said it was a tag) but when i wrote something with an actual hashtag it didn't show up in the list...
In love with this app. It got me writing again in an easy and not intimidating way. Love the simplicity and colours. Thank you!
Keeping a journal with short entries is much more convenient than a long text everyday. This is the only way I can keep it updated. Thanks for the amazing app. Just a few suggestions: If the time feature is enabled, when inserting an entry in a previous day the time setup should be shown after the entry is inserted, and there should be a way to manually arrange the entries if the time is disabled. Also an automatic backup would be great. Thank you very much
