Confused by those using the synagogue shooting into a reason to say “this is why you should focus on anti-Semitism on the right instead of the left.” Failing to challenge it among the left (as well as the right) only leads to further normalization of Jew hate in society at large.

1. Name victims, not terrorists.
2. Link act to ideology, not gaming or music taste.
3. Discuss mental health AND ideology.
4. Don't isolate act, integrate it in pattern.
5. Investigate terrorists' subcultures, not their neighborhoods.
