The head of Germany's domestic intelligence agency says reports of anti-refugee protesters chasing down "non-Germans" in Chemnitz may be false. I call BS, as I saw and taped a group of German men who ran over and surrounded a Muslim immigrant and his 2 kids and badgered them.

From the presser ahead of the protest concert in : "not a fight right versus left" but "a statement of solidarity against a right- wing mob that instrumentalized a murder." "Want to stop a snowball before it becomes an avalanche."

Fairly large crowd at anti-racism concert in Chemnitz today. It just started with a minute's silence for Daniel Hillig and the victims of far-right violence.

It just may be scored the best-ever assignment -- Explore the Minnesota State Fair! I'd say she nailed it, though I would add Ye Old Mill for nostalgia, seed art for the politics & walleye on a stick because, it's Minnesota

It is 50 years ago on August 21 that the Soviets invaded Czechoslovakia and crushed the Prague Spring, a reminder of the fragility of liberty even today in a Europe increasingly divided.
