I could tell you why bats get into the Spurs arena so frequently, and why the Raptors seem to get so many friendly rolls on their home rims. But I could cram for 14 yrs and still not be able to tell you why Bill de Blasio found it wise to run for the presidency.

Coming so close to the title and losing G5 would wobble some teams. Toronto hasn't wobbled much during this playoff run. They even handled what they consider their moment of greatest vulnerability with a certain calm. Inside that moment in Philly:

I'd chill with the pearl-clutching. If you don't think other fan bases would react the same way Toronto fans did to KD's injury, you haven't been to enough games or read enough internet comments. Sports can bring the best out of people and sometimes, it can bring out the worst.

But also, after I tweeted that, Warriors made the most vital run of the game shortly after. Gonna take a more sustained performance to KO them

When Kevin Durant left Game 5 with a significant leg injury, one that could alter his career, the NBA gasped. But the pain was perhaps most deeply felt among his home base. On the love Prince George’s County still has for the kid they call simply Kevin:

They put last night's whole Desus and Mero episode on YouTube last night, which was clutch, seeing as I couldn't stream Showtime while in Canada. Some of these segments had me crying

He'd started showing improvements in SAC. But I think it's helped that he's been in an offense where the ball moves, and there are other guys to help carry the load. Its been really cool to watch, honestly

Immediately after, sure. To be expected. I’ve been fascinated by Rudy Gay, though. He’s been awesome these past couple yrs, and in many ways better than before, almost
