The 2 hour drive made me hungry! I’d drink the beer at this brewing company if it came with food. Even though 😬

Maybe they’re prepping for the taping of The Walking Dead. 🤷‍♀️ But I’m about to eat my shoe.

I’m ready! As in emotionally@ready for a road trip. In reality...I’m still in my pajamas. But I will be ready! 🤣

Yeah, they didn't tell us that either when we got the sensor. The pump is like 4 or 5 years but they say the transmitter is one year. They should be up front about that. Thought Medtronic told me that Dexcom is replaced every 6 months, though I believe out of pocket is cheaper.

Fun news. I called the person who trained us on this system to get her thoughts and she said that the CGM is only for a year that we do have to upgrade it each year. Which ours was accurate for about 6 months but still, look to have to upgrade yearly.

Also his transmitter is still new. Hopefully you won’t have it fail like ours. But I still think for as expensive as they are we shouldn’t have to buy anew one each year.

What do you mean not all cell phones connect to it? Dexcom?

Yeah. That’s how it was for my daughter at first too. Now she is less than 50% in auto. Rejected calibrations and failed sensors kick her out. Also the false low readings kick her out. At this point she can’t get the sensor to connect at all.

I haven't. However, my 17 year old daughter highly recommends This Is Where It Ends. It's on my TBR. I've been kind of nervous to read it. Sidenote: she participated in an active shooter drill for first responders. Got a fake bullet wound to the head. Too f*cking real.

We believe this transmitter we have has failed. We were willing to try a replacement. However, Medtronic is saying we have to buy the replacement and we aren't willing to put the money out for something that has already failed. This sensor is 1 year old. It should last longer.

We are in Michigan. The trainers are fantastic. However, calling with a problem...not so good. Sensor are supposed to last 7 days. She is having to go through 3 a week. Very expensive. And the reading aren't accurate. Reads 40 but is really 100. (one example)

Other pumps have suspend on low. I love the auto features on the 670. But w/o a decent sensor, she isn't staying in auto mode. She's been on a Medtronic pump for 9 years. Switching doesn't excite me. But neither does their lack of support for the issues. :/

I never thought Dexcom would be perfect. But after a year of issues with Medtronic, it's time for a change. Not to mention the lack of customer support. If you think you're not going to have any issues with the 670G (which is behind in technology) they you're wrong.
