Expanding the frontiers of corporate capitalism. One multilateral agreement at the time. It doesn't matter if it's Canadian or American: the search for cheap labour, cheap energy, cheap nature and new markets has no nationality.

Agree! I already proposed to adopt it as framework for the book project we have with the law in global production folks. It would be great if you, and were to be involved!

I think the article is clear in saying that recorded lectures are not as effective and valid as in class sessions with students. We need to reaffirm the importance of community, belonging to the cohort and actively participate in preparation, lectures and tutorials

I believe this is what tutorials and seminars are about. But they require students to be prepared when they walk into the sessions. Recording and doing the lecture would also double the amount of hours taught..

Or teachers who feel controlled because they are lecture captured and the impact it has on the profession. I agree some students benefit from recording. In Italy we used to record and take notes. But there's a huge difference with mandatory and systematic capturing.

"the net effect of lecture capture introduction on the cohort is generally negative; the study serves as a useful example of the pitfalls of an over-reliance on lecture capture as a replacement for lecture attendance"

"We need to see more movements based on the idea that enough is enough of this capitalist fraud we are living in". As always, a clear and straightforward analysis of where we are and why we must not accept false solutions.

Industrial action, when not frustrated by fear and bureaucratic visions, pays. Let's hope the abolition of zero hour contracts doesn't come with a reduction of number of employees..

Seems like a great opportunity to disseminate our vision of the food systems as a commons! It's time to be visible and expand the network!

Kitchen confidential was an eye opener on the social complexity and economic inequity in Western high cusine. If I m doing what I do, it s also because of Bourdain's decision to leave aside the political correctness of gourmandise and take food seriously.

era un bracciante e un attivista. Soumaila Sacko era un uomo. Il silenzio su questa vicenda è assordante, “apparteniamo tutti, indipendentemente dalle latitudini e dalle longitudini, alla stessa famiglia, che è la famiglia umana. Restiamo umani”. (V. Arrigoni)

Sounds great! Future generations, commons and ecology are central to the way in which we are trying to structure our vision. Where are you based?

In a way, a credible industrial strategy is being developed @ UCU Congress: unofficial walk outs & solidarity pickets. If only they’d apply this approach against the employers instead of their own freaking membership we might actually be able to save our pensions

The reconstruction plan for Barbuda completely obliterated climate and historical debt and sees finance as bootstrapping opportunities. My thoughts on it on

You think two hurricanes are already a punishment. But the reconstruction plan for Barbuda could be even worse. My thoughts on The Conversation.
