Today we announced our 2018 highlights. We invested in our future technologies and products, including a new £200m campus at Hullavington, UK. Turnover grew 28% to £4.4bn and profits grew 33% to £1.1bn, driven by growing global demand.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to completely prevent it for an average consumer. I would recommend emptying the clear bin, washing the filters and wiping the machine with an anti-static wipe or similar product. Although not guaranteed, hopefully this will help. Thanks, Jack

If static charge builds up in the machine, a natural place for it to discharge is through the charge point, because this is made from metal and is more conductive than the handle, so it's easier for charge to transfer through it. 2/3

Hello, thanks for your tweet. Although what you experienced was unpleasant, it was actually a harmless static shock and not an electric shock from the mains supply. In your cleaner, static is created by fast moving particles rubbing against its plastic. 1/3
