Ok I’m actually going mad. I’ve mislaid my AirPods. They’re somewhere in my flat, fuck knows where. And findmyiphone won’t play a sound because they’re currently in the case and not paired with the phone. HELP 😭

Some fascinating conceptual and data driven analysis in new book. Begs the question of overall impact we could have applying this level of rigour and curiousity to broader topics, not only gender.

Delighted by this podcast review of my book not least because I feel extremely smug about picking up on and enjoying my Henry Higgins ref WHICH I WAS EXTREMELY PROUD OF :D

One thing that esp shocks me about the hostile environment: the govt is pushing more and more young people who grew up in Britain, but weren't born here, into its Kafkaesque tentacles by making it ever harder for them to establish their legal status

The cycling racks & station are literally around the back of a portacabin, not in public view and very poorly lit. All of which makes women, including myself, extremely reluctant to use them particularly in Winter.

Used to see this all the time in sports science research (especially endurance-related testing and anything measuring core temperature). Women were always excluded from the sample group.

"The lack of sex-disaggregated data in clinical trials, for example, affects the ability to give women sound medical advice." The more I read about 's important work, the angrier I get. I had simply assumed data was sex-diasaggregated. Confirming her argument.
