Dat was Rutte. Samenvatting: meest pro-Europese speech ooit (is snel bereikt); eindelijk erkenning dat EU meer is dan markt en munt, sterk op klimaat en Rule of law, maar voorspelbaar op migratie en Euro. Niets op sociaal en taxation, wat ronduit teleurstellend is. #mixedbag

Na het moetje over EU-budget, benadrukt Rutte nu de rol van nationale parlementen. Helemaal eens; gelukkig doet Rutte niet meer alsof het een het ander uitsluit.

Op migratie en Euro blijft Rutte vaag en/of defensief. Op Euro stelt Rutte zelfs dat we de instrumenten wel hebben. Gaat tegen bijna elke economische analyse in. #gemistekans

The @EU_Commission needs to renegotiate #PrivacyShield with the US. If an EU judge deems it to be incompatible with EU law, then it will cease to exist. It needs to be updated and reformed to comply with EU law and better protect the data of EU citizens. bartstaes.be/nl-BE/artikel/…
