marketing materials included stat that 8% of Israeli Jews are on the Left, while 49% of US Jews are. But if you look at the 2017 Pew poll that they got that from, it is very revealing. In the US you only have 2 viable political options, in Israel, there's a spectrum.

Dude parachuted into Nazi-occupied Norway with five of his bros, infiltrated a Nazi facility by climbing down a 200 foot ravine and entering through a window, blew the whole place to fuck-all, and escaped by out-skiing 3,000 Nazi soldiers for 200 miles.

So McKinsey is saying it wasn't working for Saudis at the time it did the report? That deserves a followup.

Yeah, it was great. A little more nuanced and ambivalent than your usual BDS take! That’s why I’m surprised.

Sympathize with 's pessimism, but describing the present and then assuming the future will be the same is probably not a reliable way to make predictions about longterm democratic outcomes. (Autocratic regimes are more predictable.)

You, me, Beinart, millions of Israelis, Truah, J Street may oppose settlements and occupation for different reasons, and from very different political POVs, but we're all on one side of what should be a very clear line, yet I find that much of media discussion blurs that line.

Here's an important story you probably haven't heard in the chaos of the US news cycle: An Ethiopian-Israeli mother of 3 quite possibly prevented a war between Israel and Gaza yesterday. Her name is Miri Tamano, and here is how it happened.
