False equivalencies and absurd analogies are never far away in moments like these. They are so predictable you could set your watch by them.

Sounds like he's describing a Barbie Dream House sometimes. Maybe will have lots of sparkles?

It really reads like the subplot of some stoner comedy.

Some people: "Listen to folks on the border!" Same people: "Folks are on the border are full of crap unless they repeat my talking points!".

Folks who continue to say silly things about climate change are being willfully ignorant just like they are on any number of subjects. Ignorance is not a state people should choose to stay in. But here we are.

Looking forward to the day the nation can move beyond fixation and get on with solving real problems vs. having to endlessly indulge or debate policies driven by ignorance, fear and resentment.

Instead of spearheading a conversation about how social constructs of race influence prejudice and privilege, Warren muddles tribal sovereignty with a personal tale of hardship.

This was helpful. I've been wondering what specifically needs to happen now that the damage has been done so to speak. Seems like folks are offering a path forward for her to take.

Has someone provided a specific example of how to talk about the influence of money in politics when it involves a Jewish state that would not invoke antisemitic tropes? If the issue was the phrasing vs. the point being made, what is the right phrasing then?

I'm asking because so much of the conversation seems based on the idea that: 1. the trope is obvious and people should know better 2. there is some kind of obvious way to avoid the trope when talking about these things.

Honestly some kind of language guide would be helpful. For example, how specifically could the same point she was making be phrased differently? How do talk about money and political influence without it being a "trope"?

Again, there is a difference between constructive critique and holding the press accountable and efforts to vilify the press for political gain. Folks who don't see the difference just aren't trying. This is where it leads.
