Indeed. Also seems like odd politics tbh. Most in Israel don’t support annexation of the West Bank. Taking votes from far right parties puts those parties at risk of not making it into knesset, which’ll make it harder for him to build coalition

I pray he won’t become PM (but he probably will). As for this specific “promise”- most in Israel assume it’s a last minute tactic to get votes back from Bennett/Shaked. He blocked this decision himself every time Bennett raised it in the past.

We love Mo Willems books. Other early favorites - “Lucia the Luchadora”, “Jabari jumps”, and lots of classics - Peter Pan, Jungle Book etc. It all gets a lot better after age 6. My 7 yr old will read anything if it’s in graphic novel format.

I don’t think costs are coming down for existing tech. Next gen would be a step change and DOE should absolutely continue to push R&D on that. The solution is decidedly not to bash renewables and wait for nuclear to save us (which is what I hear from some nuclear fans).

This is a good overview of decarbonization strategies and touches on where nuclear fits in (tl;dr it may be really valuable once next gen, smaller reactors can be commercialized. But that’s 10+ years away and we have to get moving)

Basically what @tylertringas said. Economics don’t work. Who today can finance $10b boondoggles and risk time/cost overruns that are multiples of that?
See for example recent projects in South Carolina and UK (Cumbria).
