"Three years ago, Harley & myself met in his bed room studio for the very first time. This track was actually an idea from that very session.

Today we find ourselves back at home, together, after many months on the road from our various projects. 
Our core focus to finalise our forthcoming Singles, it feels symbolic that three years on we find ourselves coming full circle to finish this same song we started that very first day.

We reflect on how much has changed & how much is still the same. From my 9-5 desk job to now writing music & DJing around the globe. From his bed room ambitions to being the forefront of dance music subculture. We're still two young dudes, that love the ocean, hanging with our friends in the city we've grown up in & hunting for things that inspire us.

‘Beautiful’ enters delicately with Winona's internal dialog. There's a sense of optimism, anxiousness & longing, but also an undertone of sadness. All reinforced with the incredible duality along her vocal range. It’s always intrigued me how this song evokes such a feeling of freedom & open space yet the protagonist sounds quite troubled. I think the hypnotic & intoxicating energy of the production also adds to this perplexity. We put this together in the jungle of Nicaragua which definitely had a sizeable impact on the sound pallet but one of my favorite things has to be how 'Robert Plant' Ryan McMahon (Captain Cuts) managed to propel his vocal adlib.

The chords progression & ‘lute’ like plucked guitar inspired a medieval fable. I described the concept to Daniel & we dived in on the character development (This was actually the first song we worked on together). Also big nod to San for the shredding guitar solo in the outro.

I wrote the demo back in 2014, after my first trip to America. I was inspired by the ‘in your face’ attitude everyone was putting into their sounds. I was opening my Groovein The Moo Festival sets with the instrumental & mid tour, met up with KLP. We wrote down a couple phrases & I had her scream them into the mic. It was an attempt at punk rock EDM (lol). Leaving the stems with Skrillex that same year, it morphed & evolved & finally is revealed on this album here in 2018.
