How long does it take a bank account to become ready?

When providing us your bank account information for the first time, we verify it before sending you a payout by depositing a small sum around $1 USD or less to your account. This is to make sure we avoid sending money to the wrong account. Go ahead and keep the change! It’s on us.

Your bank account will not be automatically verified. Instead, its status will change to pending verification. Within a few days, you should receive an email letting you know if the verification was a success (and any instructions if it was not), and the status of your bank account will update accordingly.

We only need to verify the account once (which takes a couple business days, depending on your bank), then you will begin to receive payouts.

There are 4 different statuses your account may have:

• New: the payout method is editable; we cannot send payouts to this payout method
• Ready: the payout method is not editable; we can send payouts to this payout method
• Pending: the payout method is not editable; look for a small deposit in your bank account
• Error: please remove this payout method and add a new payout method; we cannot send payouts to this payout method

Cool fact! You can add a payout method and set up split payouts between multiple bank accounts.
