Regarding helping the "moderate" Syrian rebels: At last count there were 220,000 rebel fighters killed in Syria over the last 4 years. Only now we are discussing helping them? It just doesn't make much sense. Check out what happened at the Aleppo Central prison over the last 11 months. Most of their leaders have been killed, there are untold number of "Assad supporters" imbedded in the squads of the rebels. There is no way this is a good thing.
