Are you going to do Quadrilateral Cowboy? Your review of Blendo games was great, I think it would be interesting to see how Quadrilateral Cowboy comes into all that.
Wonderful job. I've enjoyed every video. It seems at times that you are struggling to be apolitical and your world view, especially in these odd times, seems to be on the tip of your tongue. I for one would welcome a tangent.
I started watching these videos in reverse order. The newer ones pick some special aspect about a game and expand on it. The old ones seem to be a lot of long form explaining that the game was or wasn't what he wanted, even when he does center on one aspect. I hope this trend continues. The new stuff has a far deeper value to me.
I am researching video game review scores. The top 3 most 'Debated' (its an index, number of reviews * average deviation) on PC are Darwinia, BioInfinite and StarCraft2. Despite its good scores I thought Darwinia a terrible game. The only decent defense anyone made for it was "game-as-art." Do you know if that is true? Thank you, your BioInfinite video was helpful.
May I ask why you've never covered a Zelda game? I'd be extremely interested to hear your thoughts on either an individual game or on the series as a whole. Are you perhaps concerned that everything that could possibly be said about Zelda has been said?
So the dark souls video and dead rising videos clash because the earlier installations of Dead Rising are not nearly as accessible. But they hold more meaning because they have more character. The current Dead Rising games are a mosh pit of gore and violence with a tacked on skill tree that makes the game become one big grind. Dark Souls is also a Japanese inspired game, that's why it's so challenging. They both have their own qualities that makes them interesting and makes their character really show.
I have a recommendation for you, check out "The Swindle" on Steam. It's an indie stealth game with some interesting twists in how it handles risk/rewards and stealth.
You are a pretentious mofo, don't be ashamed of that. You apologize too much. Be the blue-blooded intellectual sleazebag you want to be, asshole.
Otherwise I love your shit. I've watched all your content. Stuff like "The Debate That Never Took Place" or "Photorealism" multiple times and it doesn't cease to amaze. And it feels great to agree or disagree with you on many levels, since you open up fields of thought that I wouldn't have seen elsewhere. Thank you!
